Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I save a web page?
Tap the "Save Web Page" button at the bottom right of the home screen, navigate to your desired article, and tap "Save Clean Article" or "Full Archive". You can also copy a URL in Safari and launch WebClipBox to save it in one tap via the prompt banner.
Can I read saved articles offline or in airplane mode?
Yes. WebClipBox saves all text, layout stylesheets, and images directly onto your device. You can browse them smoothly without an internet connection in subways, flights, or remote areas.
How does ad and banner removal work?
When saving, WebClipBox automatically removes floating banners, sticky elements, and ad iframes to produce a clean, lightweight archive. You can also turn on "Element Eraser" before saving to tap and eliminate any unwanted elements manually.
How does offline full-text search work?
Type any keyword into the top search bar on the home screen. WebClipBox indexes the plain text of every saved page locally, delivering instant results in under 0.1 seconds. You can also search within individual articles.
How do I export a continuous full-page PDF?
Open any saved article, tap the share icon in the top toolbar, and choose "Export Continuous PDF". The app generates a single, seamless PDF file of the entire webpage without awkward page breaks.
What is Secret Lock (Face ID)?
Secret Lock lets you safeguard sensitive articles inside a protected folder. Locked items require Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode authentication before opening, keeping your personal notes private.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Go to Settings (gear icon) and tap "Restore Purchases". As long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase, your Pro lifetime license will be restored immediately at no charge.
Is any of my browsing data sent to external servers?
No. WebClipBox is architected around on-device privacy. All saved content, URLs, and search keywords remain entirely on your iPhone and are never transmitted to external servers.
